Yfriday are a Quartet based in Newcastle – upon – Tyne with a europe wide following of fans. Their music style is based at the soft end of Punk / Rock and Universal is a classic example of their work. Prodominently worship / praise orientated Rock. Each song is well crafted with lyrics that glorify God and Jesus. From the thumping anthems of Universaland I’m Yours to the ballads Lullaby and Yahweh the band shows that it understands what true worship is about, Jesus. The recording of Everlasting God, co-written with Brenton Brownis a classic and should be added to any worship bands list of songs.

For me the best track on the Cd is One Hope. A stomping ‘take it to the people’ anthem which makes you want to go and tell everyong about Jesus.

Yfriday are also the house band for YCF North Easts iXth Hour meetings in the City Hall in Newcastle. These are excellent times of worship for teens followed by brilliant speakers. Many teens have been saved at these events with the aid of this band.
